The Chairmanship of CANEGROWERS Queensland has changed hands, with well-known Mackay cane grower, Paul Schembri, elected unopposed.

NZ Federated Farmers Hawke’s Bay has elected 36-year old Will Foley as its new Hawke’s Bay provincial president, replacing Bruce Wills, who will now focus on his role as National President.  Will Foley is the youngest provincial president elected in Federated Farmers’ class of 2013.

President of the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), Jock Laurie, has announced that he is stepping down as head of the nation’s peak farm body to run for preselection for the National Party in the NSW seat of Northern Tablelands.
