conference_smlAgsafe Facilitators and Trainers from all around Australia gathered in Canberra this week for an annual conference and a little taste of their own medicine!

Delegates were treated to a number of guest speakers, lectures and training courses on how to improve the delivery and service of Agsafe Accreditation and Training.

The three day Trainer and Facilitator conference involved a presentation from Croplife Assistant Director in Environment and Stewardship Ben Stapley on the issues affecting the agvet chemical industry manufacturers.

The group participated in a round table discussion with Peter Arkle and Keith Quiney from Syngenta to discuss what manufactures are doing to facilitate our services to resellers.

The 11 trainers and facilitators were also put through the rigorous Trainer Boot Camp by Jason Ash from MRWED Training and Assessment. The tables were turned as trainers were put through their paces in how to better engage with students in their classes.

Accreditation and Training National Program Manager Frances Cameron said it was a big learning experience for everyone involved.

"Agsafe's Facilitators and Trainers are the backbone of our program and it's important they know the ins and outs of the industry and updates to our training and accreditation modules," Frances said.

"This week was about learning and sharing our experiences to further enhance the program for resellers around Australia."

She said delegates were given a forum to discuss the present challenges they're facing and review their practices in an effort to improve the services they provide to resellers.

"It was the perfect chance for everyone to talk to each other and learn what issues trainers and facilitators are facing on the ground," she said.

Agsafe currently has 11 consultants and trainers servicing a membership of over 1600 businesses around the country.
